The position of Yard Coordinator is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the storage yard and buildings as well as maintenance and repair of various machinery and equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Demonstrated previous industrial/warehouse/yard person skills.
- Forklift License & experience required.
- Self-starter, independent, and a team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Highly safety conscious, results-driven, and enthusiastic for consistently providing superior customer service.
- Understands the importance of urgency and time management skills.
- Basic experience and understanding of computer systems.
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Creative problem solver with ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and process outgoing equipment requisitions, making sure all equipment is in excellent condition before leaving the premises for job sites.
- Manage equipment and material laydown within yard and storage buildings.
- Perform visual inspection and check all equipment for accuracy/damage upon receiving, returning, or shipping. Report any damage and fill out service reports for any returned equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and freshly painted prior to leaving the premises for job sites.
- Manage, organize, process and load/unload equipment / materials within the yard.
- Receive, unpack, and sort incoming materials & equipment, use forklifts to move products for organized placement within the yard.
- Clean and maintain the yard to ensure it is always kept in a safe, neat, and top-notch order.
- Deliver equipment to technicians for diagnosis and repair.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on all shop machinery and equipment.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on the buildings and facility.
- Routinely survey & inspect equipment, buildings, and facility.
- Diagnose and repair broken, or damaged shop equipment as needed.
- Perform repairs on hand & electrical tools as needed.
- Identify potential hazards or unsafe machinery and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Schedule and facilitate maintenance and repairs performed by outside contractors.
- Service and maintain facility HVAC systems & alarm system.
- Maintain an inventory or spare parts as necessary.
- Perform inspections & repairs on job site office containers.
- Keep up to date documentation of equipment maintenance & repairs.
- Assist with any duties assigned by the Shop Manager
