Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
Centurion in Campbellfield is currently seeking an experienced forklift operator to join our Yard operations department full-time as a Freight Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking for a position where they can contribute to the smooth running of our operations and make a real impact on our business. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, responsible for loading, unloading and restraining general freight, including heavy/bulk oversize mining equipment. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
- Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end, including ugly and oversize
- Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide with straps and chains
- Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
- Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
- Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Experience with general freight and restraining loads
- Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
- Preferred scanning experience
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
