Description:
Are you are hoping to join a enthusiastic, skilled and driven community team ? If so, look no further , and join the London Borough of Havering Mental Health Service.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for qualified mental health professional with clinical and leadership experience with a specialist interest in transition work, and ‘bridging the gap’ between child and adolescent mental health services and Adult mental health services. These professionals will work with young adults ages between 18-25 years old.
The role is 9am-5pm Monday-Friday from the main site in Romford, which is a short walk away from the new TFL Elizabeth Line. You will be required to travel within the London Borough, across sites and teams, whereby public transport allows this to be accessible. The candidate will need to be autonomous and motivated. The candidate will need to develop a positive working relationships with both Child and Adolescent and Adult mental health services, liaising and working alongside external agencies. It is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a change that can have a positive influence service provision and the young adults living in the London Borough of Havering.
The candidate will also be linked to both transformation in CAMHS and adults mental health services, as well as internal Quality Improvement projects.
To be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload, in line with caseload and team needs.
Support in the embedding of the 18-25 role linking services provision.
Ensure the team maintain high clinical standards.
To provide skilled evidenced based assessment/formulation/intervention/treatment within your scope of practice.
To demonstrate leadership skills across the MDT, sharing knowledge and skill from you own practice and discipline
You may need to deputise in the absence of a senior colleague and show the ability to prioritise and delegate appropriately.
To have organisational knowledge to work within the Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them for example safeguarding children and Adults
To ensure effective care planning and risk management for individuals and service level is adhered to.
To support the use of ROMS and other forms of Audit to inform clinical and service delivery.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex
Higher cost area supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
