What is the job role?
Coventry are recruiting to a Young Person Facilitator role for the Coventry House Project. This is a new and exciting post working with the National House Project in Coventry. It is fixed term for 12 months.
As a Facilitator you will provide individual and group support to young people. You will work in collaboration with social care, education, health, housing and other agencies to ensure that young people’s views are at the heart of all decision making. You will also have responsibility to engage and work with the National House Project, including attendance at Community of Practice meetings, training and conferences.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
A dedicated practitioner - who is child and young person focused, with relevant skills, experience and knowledge.
You will have experience and knowledge in working with young people who are transitioning and leaving care into independence.
You will have an understanding of the challenges that care leavers face.
You will have experience and knowledge of working with young people on a 1-1 basis and also delivering group sessions to young people.
