Description:

YOUNG PERSONS PRACTITIONER

Salary: £23,500 per annum (£10,162 per annum pro-rata)
Location: Swansea
Contract/Hours: 16 hours per week FTC until 31 st March 2026.

Our job description for the Young Person’s Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves’ are:

  • Significant experience of working with children and young people through 1:1, mentoring and group work (delivered in person and via MS Teams)
  • An understanding of the issues that can affect care experienced young people
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or demonstrable experience of working with children and young people
  • An awareness or knowledge of therapeutic interventions such as DBT and CBT
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
  • You will need a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle as this post requires you to travel across Western Bay and provide transportation for young people
