REPORT CHAIN: Sr. Sales Manager
DURATION: Full Time, 8 months/year (Sept – May)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience in working within a customer service role, with direct one on one guest interactions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to examine and re-engineer sales operations, form new policies, develop and implement new strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct sales forces.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other events.
  • Clean BC driver’s license

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel will be required, expectation to manage hours accordingly.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Able to conduct presentations, and meetings.
  • Outdoor on snow coordination will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads local account management, relationships and co-op sales initiatives
  • Assist Director of Sales and Marketing in the development of strategic plans for the sales function; administer practices and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Responsible for driving Sales into our School Programs and Bike Program locally and BC wide.
  • Responsible for the Group business to Tube Town, including school and youth groups and birthday parties
  • Develops and executes sales promotions and events
  • Attends ski, bike and travel trade shows as needed.
  • Fulfill local strategic sales objectives and tactical executions for lift, lodging and other revenue products.
  • Assist in annual budget planning; monitor expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
  • Fulfills stated KPI’s, proving ROI with analysis and metrics reporting.
  • Ensure that all invoicing is sent and reconciled within 30 days of groups departure
  • Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver sales materials and other promotional programs.
  • Participates in various Local Marketing Organization initiatives.
  • Plans, communicates, and hosts FAM tours – relevant to Youth Organizations.
  • Manage relationship with Schools and Groups
  • Plans digital and traditional media campaigns in cooperation with Marketing.
  • Provide input from sales department for the collaboration of strategic and tactical planning processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with all clients.
  • Coordinate with the Ski and Ride School to ensure all group information is accurate to provide the best on snow experience for all children and chaperones.
  • Coordinate Bike School programs to ensure all group information is accurate to provide the best on snow experience for all children and chaperones.
  • Coordinate with the Tube Town Staff to ensure all group information is accurate to provide the best on experience for all children and chaperones.
