Description:

Community Education delivers free confidence-building workshops to young people, and we would love for you to help us in our mission to empower communities to become more resilient. As part of this role you may be required to travel up to one hour to venues to deliver workshops across the PO30 (Isle of Wight). Workshops can take place at various times, usually between 9am and 5pm during the week. You will be required to carry your laptop, learning materials and light-weight training equipment. In the first few months, you must be willing to travel outside of your local area to shadow and observe our workshops with your line manager. We would like volunteers who; - Can volunteer on a regular basis. - Will support in the facilitation of workshops in the community, lasting 1-2 hours. - Workshops are delivered Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm. - Use of own vehicle. - Use of own phone. - Use of own laptop/computer. - Commit to delivering a minimum of 2 workshops per month. - Commit to volunteering for a minimum of 1 year. As part of the role you will actively promote our Community Education workshops on the Isle of Wight to generate demand for them. Applicants should be; - Confident and able to promote our educational workshops to community groups and schools. - Confident and able to independently deliver workshops to a group of young people after completing training for the role. - Computer literate as initial training will be online.
