Do you want to make a difference to victims, communities, and children’s lives? If the answer is yes, we are looking for an individual to join our established multi-agency team within the Hull Youth Justice Service as a dedicated Reparation Worker.
This is an opportunity for children to make amends for their offending behaviour whilst also supporting them to understand the impact of their actions. This also further supports children to develop a ‘pro social’ identity as well as supporting them to make a positive contribution to their community.
This is an operational role directly working with, supervising, and managing children within the community to carry our reparation, restorative practice and to support them in developing their pro-social identity. This role will include working in collaboration with case managers as well, as using your own initiative to source and establish targeted placements within communities for the successful delivery of interventions. This role also may require driving service vehicles to transport children or equipment.
You will have a focus on supporting children to engage in constructive activities and will work towards creating reparation activities that supports children to move forward by giving them opportunities to understand and learn from the impact of their actions on the victims and communities involved. Promoting sustainable positive outcomes for children across Hull will be at the heart of what you do. You will also work with a preventative approach to reducing the risk of young people reoffending city wide.
If you feel that this is a role for you and you have the necessary skills within the job description, then we look forward to reading your application.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Simon Brownbill on 01482 614 200 or simon.brownbill@hullcc.gov.uk
Interviews to be held week commencing 17 February 2025.
