Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Development Professional to mentor and support young people in achieving their personal, academic, and social goals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, a passion for positive youth development, and the ability to create a safe and engaging environment for learning and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth in educational, recreational, or counseling settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people.
  • Experience planning and facilitating youth programs or activities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards youth development.
  • Ability to manage group dynamics and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging activities and programs that promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, helping them navigate personal challenges and build positive relationships.

  • Monitor and assess the progress of youth participants, offering support as needed.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the success of programs and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of program attendance, incidents, and participant progress.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
