The Downer Transport & Infrastructure operation are proud to be delivering the SH1 maintenance and rehabilitation project, launching in September. This is an accelerated road renewal programme where 4 years of work will be delivered over a 16 month timeframe. This work will reduce pesky potholes, and increase road user safety for years to come!
By delivering a series of full block closures along the corridor, this will enable rehab and repairs of SH1 whilst reducing temporary traffic management and disrupts to the general public. This method will also enable a safer environment for workers, as crew will shift along SH1 zones with full closures, rather than working adjacent to live traffic lanes.
The first part of the project will focus on SH1, from SH5 near Tīrau to the SH1/SH28 intersection near Putāruru. All positions are Full-Time, Fixed Term 18 month* opportunities. This is a great opportunity to diversify your experience in Civil Maintenance/ Road Construction and work with industry experts!
