Description

Miller Transfer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our accounting team as a Billing and Collections Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and enjoys collaborating across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and maintain driver and carrier paperwork using document management software.
  • Maintain customer master data for accurate invoicing.
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices daily.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely customer payments.
  • Provide cross-functional backup support during staff absences.
  • Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of billing experience (logistics/transportation industry preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMW preferred).
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (Great Plains preferred).
  • Familiarity with document management software (WorkOptima preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
