DESCRIPTION

Element Energy is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer to support test development on our battery modules, packs, and systems. Responsibilities will include defining manufacturing test platforms, performing mechanical and electrical design of custom test hardware, and developing test software to run on these custom test platforms.
This position will offer significant opportunities to grow and to learn working in conjunction with Element’s product development engineering team. Domestic or international travel might be required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

· Software development in Python, C#, and/or LabView with a focus on electrical and mechanical device control and test automation.
· Design of mechanical enclosures, fixtures, interlocks, and other similar components.
· Software control of electrical test hardware including power supplies, current loads, hi-pot testers, etc.
· Experience deploying test systems to mass production.
· Experience with test data correlation and analysis
· Hands-on experience in system and module-level test program development

PREFERRED SKILLS:

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient working with lab equipment for data collection as well as product validation
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
