Roles & Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for supporting the operation, administration, monitoring and maintenance of the organisation’s network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable and uninterrupted connectivity across offices, sites and technology environments.

The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Network Infrastructure

• Configures and maintains network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points (e.g. Aruba), and related network equipment to ensure reliable connectivity across the organisation.
• Monitors network availability, performance, bandwidth utilisation, and connectivity to identify and resolve network issues and maintain required service levels.
• Supports the configuration and administration of local area networks, wide area networks, wireless networks, and virtual private network connectivity to meet operational requirements.

Network Security

• Administers network security infrastructure including firewalls (e.g. Fortinet), access controls, network segmentation, and secure connectivity configurations to protect organisational systems and information.
• Monitors network traffic, alerts and security events and coordinates the resolution or escalation of identified network security issues.
• Implements approved network security configurations, patches, and updates to address vulnerabilities and maintain infrastructure security.

Network Support & Troubleshooting

• Investigates and resolves network incidents including connectivity failures, performance degradation, wireless issues, and network device faults to minimise disruption to users and business operations.
• Provides technical support for network-related requirements associated with new offices, projects, systems, and technology deployments.
• Provides Level 2/3 technical support and resolves network-related incidents and requests via the IT Service Desk (ManageEngine ServiceDesk) within agreed service levels.

Network Documentation & Controls

• Maintains network diagrams, device configurations, Internet Protocol addressing records, configuration backups, and other technical documentation to ensure infrastructure information remains accurate and current.
• Supports network infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacement, and technology improvement initiatives in coordination with the Manager – Infrastructure and relevant technology providers.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent is required Professional Certifications - Relevant certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent is preferred
• Years of Experience - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Network Infrastructure and Administration Nature of Experience - At least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibilities
• Language Skills - Fluent written and spoken English essential, Arabic preferred
