What We Are Looking For The IT Systems Technician provides hands-on, on-site support for business systems and end users, focusing on maintaining reliable IT operations and minimizing downtime. This is a user-facing role designed for someone who can manage day-to-day technology issues independently while coordinating with the IT Manager and a third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP) for escalations and cybersecurity support. This role is ideal for a technically skilled, physically capable professional who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with users, and performing hands-on technical work in a dynamic environment. This position works closely with other departments to ensure SIRE continues to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties 1. Provide on-site technical support for employees, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices 2. Support user account management, onboarding, offboarding, and access changes 3. Troubleshoot system, application, and network connectivity issues 4. Assist with installation and maintenance of Ethernet and fiber cabling 5. Deploy, move, and maintain IT equipment as needed 6. Coordinate escalations and follow-ups with the MSP 7. Assist with routine system maintenance, updates, and IT projects 8. Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures Other duties as assigned by management.
