Temple University’s University Marketing Department is searching for an Assistant Vice President of Digital Strategy & Marketing Technology!

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Digital Strategy and Marketing Technology is a critical member of the leadership team in the university’s Strategic Marketing and Communications Division (SMC) and effectively leads and shapes the university‘s digital footprint, ensuring a seamless, user-centric, and innovative experience for its varied stakeholders. This role oversees the Digital Strategy team, which includes web content strategy, digital project management and web development, as well as the newly formed Marketing Technology team responsible for university-wide marketing tools and
emerging digital technologies.
The AVP will collaborate closely with the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) for technology strategy, operations, implementation, and lifecycle. The AVP will be cosponsor of the university’s Web Collaboration Center (WCC), along with ITS, which governs the university’s web presence, ecosystem, and Drupal framework. This role is integral to advancing the institution’s strategic goals through data-driven, technology-enabled marketing and communications. The AVP will represent SMC across campus collaborating with a range of colleagues; represents SMC diplomatically and effectively.
This is a fast-paced, data-driven, highly collaborative position. The AVP must quickly gauge and implement the best course of action for urgent and longer-term needs, bringing and modeling flexibility, agility, and a solutions-oriented approach, utilizing empathy, diplomacy, strategy, and relationship-building.
The AVP must successfully manage complex, high-stakes projects and scenarios, balancing the needs of the Strategic Marketing and Communications team and our university partners.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
