  How this role supports our work
  This position supports the day-to-day delivery of Australian Red Cross’s marketing and communication initiatives to help amplify our impact across communities. Reporting through to the Senior Manager – Marketing and Communication this role is accountable for ensuring the team delivers strategically conceived and integrated marketing and communication campaigns for both internal and external audiences.

What you will do day to day

• Advocate for assigned portfolios championing their needs and bringing together cohesive strategies in alignment with the overarching strategic calendar.
• Work closely with cross functional senior stakeholders to develop accurate Marketing and Communication briefs that clearly define budgets, deadlines and expectations.
• Ensure that the voice of our customers both internal (members, volunteers & staff + Board/Governance structures) and external (program beneficiaries, donors, government & industry experts) is heard, listened to and responded to respectfully throughout our campaigns and responses.
• Lead strategic discussions around the long-term revenue raising, and general awareness lifting of core advocacy and programmatic strategic approaches
• Write compelling campaign earned media materials (including media releases, reactive key messages, media statements), and respond/manage media opportunities/inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Take part in on call crisis management & on call management roster.

What you will bring

• Substantial marketing & communication strategy development, campaign management and creative execution experience which has been proven within a results-focused environment.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully presenting creative and innovative ideas, opportunities and delivering solutions both to internal and external audiences.
• Substantial experience in demonstrable savvy channel planning across paid, owned and earned channels and end-to-end delivery for both external and internal audience channels.
• Experience in managing multiple, internal and external agency partners as part of a village to deliver integrated campaigns that achieve market shifting results.
• Substantial brand/marketing, media & internal communication knowledge and experience in a client-based, or agency role delivering within a complex matrixed organisation.
