As a Medical Assistant on this team you are responsible for overseeing and participating in day-to-day clinical care of patients under remote supervision. This position assists in the care of the patient by following through on completion of provider orders and answering patient calls for medication refill orders, and approved results reporting. Additionally, may be responsible for performing over the phone triage. Individuals in this function typically have certification. May also be responsible for overseeing and participating in day-to-day clinical support care of patients. They will be part of a market-wide team that manages clinical support items to minimize in-basket and task burden on our clinicians and improve one-call resolution for our patients. Primary Responsibilities: Works on simple tasks using established procedures and protocols Basic tasks completed without review by others Supervision/guidance required for higher level tasks Monitor and manage assigned pool/work queues ensuring timely completion of necessary clinical support needs (e.g., medication refill requests) Create and communicate TE’s/Messages across teams (e.g., central scheduling, clinical staff, providers) as necessary Translate communicated information into concise and accurate written documentation. Use approved “dotphrases” in accordance with job function/role.
