POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Professional Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and an in-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. This role demands strong technical proficiency, organizational acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional accounting or financial role, with a strong track record of accounting responsibilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Busy, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, tax legislation, and financial regulations.
• Proven ability to identify discrepancies, correct errors, and implement controls to ensure financial accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial data and concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (Required)

• Financial Record Management: Prepare and maintain precise financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial documents in accordance with established standards.
• Financial Reporting: Compile and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Compliance & Regulations: Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting principles, tax laws, financial regulations, and organizational policies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for senior management.
• Transaction Processing: Oversee the accurate processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions, ensuring timely and correct recording of all financial data.
• Internal Audits: Conduct routine internal audits, preparing detailed reports on financial activities and operational processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• External Audit & Tax Filing Support: Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
• Financial Analysis: Provide regular financial analysis, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and long-term financial planning.
• Process Improvement: Work cross-functionally with other departments to enhance financial systems and streamline accounting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
