This position requires heavy guest interaction and excellent guest service skills. A positive attitude in all situations is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Warmly welcomes customers, takes orders and rings up sales. Assists guests in a friendly manner, providing answers and handling purchases, exchanges, gift cards, and special orders. Responds to and resolves customer concerns or complaints. Learns the details of menu items and promotes and recommends items to customers. Prepares and serves food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries, and a variety of hot and cold beverages. Prepares and packages To-Go orders. Handles cash and credit cards with accuracy. Reconciles all cash and currency. Cleans all work areas, guest areas and equipment/tools to maintain a sanitary environment. Stocks shelves in a timely manner as product gets low and maintains a neat and orderly appearance. Opens and/or closes the Cafe as scheduled. Follows all company policies and procedures and works in a safe manner. Cross trains and assists in other areas of the café as needed. Candidates should have knowledge of assisted living and Alzheimer's care, and the ability to assist residents with medications. Successful completion of Aegis Medication Training Certification is required, along with meeting health requirements.
