Description About HPF: Houston Precision Fasteners produces high strength, fatigue rated, close tolerance fasteners using materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, nickel alloy, titanium, waspaloy, A-286, monel and multiphase. Our fasteners have supported mission aircrafts such as; Joint Strike Fighters, F/A 18 Super Hornet, and Falcon 9; just to name a few. We are dedicated to providing a superior product to our customers. Job purpose: The Deburr Technician will hand finish and deburr a wide variety of precision metal parts, will follow established procedures to shape and smooth metal surfaces of various fabricated parts using appropriate tools, clean-up of all grinding and filing, and perform all related burr removal. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Operate deburr equipment and machinery Inspect or measure finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as gauges or micrometers Measure work pieces and lay out work, using precision measuring devices Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems Move machine controls to index work pieces, and to adjust machines for pre-selected operational settings Study blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences Employee Acknowledgement: The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by HPF employees.
