Summary:

Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park is looking for a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join our friendly Kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner. The Commis Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field is preferred.
