Responsibilities Conduct inspections, detect and recommend improvements or repairs where necessary, liaise with and supervise term contractors (e.g. vector control, grass-cutting, cleaning) to ensure that they fulfil their contractual obligations, and assess the term contractors’ performance regularly for verification of payment due Assess costings and quantity measurements including preparing tender/ tender documents Oversee, monitor and manage design/construction work from inception to completion ensuring that the work is completed on time and within budget Process the return of properties from government agencies or private licensees / tenants, assess and propose the reinstatement requirements, and work closely with relevant internal and external parties to ensure that the property is returned without encumbrances Attend to public feedback or incidents and be proactive in proposing preventive measures or works necessary to keep the properties safe for public use Manage the appointed agent who is responsible for the management of unallocated vacant land and buildings [What we are looking for] Background in Facilities/ Estates/ Environmental Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre and post-contract duties and contract administration Tech savvy and ability to think out-of-the-box.
