CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER - THERAPEUTIC PRACTITIONER

Location: Coulsdon, London Borough of Croydon
Job Type: bank or part-time (16hrs)
Salary: £14 to £15 per hour
Lemur Care, part of Galago Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Therapeutic Care Worker for our solo EBD Home’s in Purley/Coulsdon.
Join us and play a pivotal role in providing a supportive, caring, and structured environment for a young resident while leading a small, but committed experienced team of therapeutic practitioners.

REQUIREMENTS

• Desirably: NVQ Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (formerly the Children and Young Peoples’ Workforce Diploma with Social Care Pathway)
• Experience of working with young people with neurodiversity, trauma, mental health issues, and behaviours that challenge
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential children’s care, working alongside young people, including 1 year managing and supervising staff
• Able to commit to a rolling rota that will include nights (waking nights or sleep in’s dependant on escalation)
• Experience of managing challenging situations involving young people who are highly escalated.
