Chef – Full-Time | $80K–$90K

Virsa, operated by SHAZAR ENTERPRISES PTY LTD, is looking for a skilled Chef to join our team in Underwood, QLD.

This is a full-time opportunity for a Chef who can confidently manage food preparation and cooking responsibilities while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and presentation.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will be involved in the preparation and delivery of meals and will help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly throughout service.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing ingredients and completing kitchen preparation before service.
  • Cooking and plating meals to a consistent standard.
  • Ensuring food quality, taste and presentation are maintained.
  • Managing preparation tasks according to service requirements.
  • Maintaining correct food storage and stock rotation procedures.
  • Monitoring the availability of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Keeping preparation and cooking areas clean and orderly.
  • Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Working effectively with other team members during busy service periods.
  • Assisting with general kitchen operations as required.

Skills and Experience

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous commercial kitchen experience as a Chef.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and cooking procedures.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • A positive and dependable approach to teamwork.
