Company Description Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. We are seeking a candidate who can commit long-term to the role and holds a long-term visa to work in New Zealand. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our hotel’s public spaces are clean, welcoming, and maintained to the highest standards for our guests. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public and back-of-house areas of the hotel in line with Novotel brand standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures. Shifts are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. Job Description Welcome guests warmly and assist with luggage, valet parking, and hotel entry. Provide professional, efficient customer service and support guest needs throughout their stay. Handle guest activity bookings, reservations, and messages promptly and accurately. Actively promote hotel facilities, activities, and special promotions. Maintain cleanliness in front-of-house areas and follow health & safety standards. Support the team with daily operations, handovers, and smooth communication. Qualifications A friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication skills with confidence to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds. Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team. Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. Physically fit to handle manual task such as carrying luggage for guest. Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
