JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Sales & Procurement Engineer with strong technical knowledge in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, quoting, negotiating, and following up on orders related to electrical and plumbing materials such as:

• uPVC, PPR, PVC fittings & pipes
• Electrical cables, DBs, cable trays
• Valves, supports, insulation, accessories

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the MEP sector.
• Strong knowledge of suppliers and vendors in the UAE, with the ability to navigate the local supply chain effectively.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Advanced user of MS Excel and other procurement tools for order management and reporting.
• Familiarity with procurement processes within the UAE market.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and manage purchase orders for MEP projects, including materials for plumbing, electrical, and fire fighting systems.
• Liaise with multiple suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality materials.
• Utilize various software programs, including MS Excel, to prepare, track, and publish Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
• Maintain effective communication with project teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and resolve any issues or delays.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock availability to avoid project delays and ensure smooth operations.
• Support the procurement process from initial sourcing to order delivery, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Identify and source MEP material suppliers
• Request and evaluate quotations for project requirements
• Understand technical submittals and consultant requirements
• Coordinate with the technical/M&E team for project materials
• Handle purchase orders and delivery follow-up
• Build and maintain vendor relationships
• Ensure material compliance with project specs and standards
