The York Region Children’s Aid Society (YRCAS) is a non-profit community organization legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect. As a leader within the child welfare sector, we partner with parents, caregivers, and community to provide a safe environment for children and youth, through equitable, culturally aligned services.

To support us on our journey, YRCAS is looking for a Receptionist to support our Office Services Team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of Grade 12 Certificate, and two to three years’ related office experience, including reception duties
- Bilingualism in French would be considered an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License, proof or insurance and daily access to a vehicle or the ability to travel to various office locations
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Pleasant, professional, and effective reception and telephone manner.
- Punctual and strong attendance.
- Good clerical and computer skills.
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to take and relay messages accurately.
- Ability to maintain effective communications and working relationships demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, tack, sensitivity, and diplomacy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, community partners and other professionals.
- Ability to work well under work and environmental pressure.
PAY GRADE: Pay Grade 2 Union ($47,961.43-$59,020.22)
HOURS OF WORK 33.75 hours per week

Reporting to the Supervisor, Office Administrative Services, the Receptionist will provide professional reception and clerical support of the efficient and effective administration of the Agency. The Receptionist may be asked to perform any of the following Office Services responsibilities:
