Description:
Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit 2 X Principal Project Manager contracts for 9 months with possible extension based at Fortitude Valley and working from home.
The purpose of these roles is to lead and manage the successful delivery of digital and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives (Clinical Imaging Repository and ViewPoint / Chest Xray AI) that contribute to positive clinical and patient outcomes across the client. This includes providing leadership to multidisciplinary project teams including project team members, internal service providers and external vendors to drive high quality, timely and cost-effective delivery of required activities to establish the Clinical Imaging Repository within the client, and to upgrade/implement the ViewPoint and Chest Xray AI clinical imaging solutions.
In this role you will:
- Lead a team of project management resources in delivery key projects including all facets of performance, reporting and implementation.
- Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk projects to ensure project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs.
- Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained through leading, managing and directing multi-disciplinary project team/s, internal service providers and vendors.
- Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health policies, strategies and architecture.
- Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health’s formal project management (PM) approach and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
- Initiate, influence and maintain effective working relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders facilitating effective communication channels to ensure the successful delivery of projects including feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
- Manage projects by overseeing the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
- Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
- All staff are responsible for identifying, managing and reporting risks relating to their project and work.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe, services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role and behave in a manner that is consistent with core values of the client following defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
You will have:
- Project Management skills and experience: Demonstration of planning and delivery (including procurement), clinical and/or capital works related projects; complex large delivery environment, digital/ICT projects.
- Governance, qualifications and methods: Proven experience in effective project management including appropriate use and knowledge of PRINCE/Agile; gated assurance, reporting and PPM tools (e.g. scheduling). This should include preparing submissions, facilitating approvals and providing advice/submissions to working groups and governance committees on project activities, progress and risks/issues in line with DMN and QH governance and assurance requirements.
- Clinical / Capital Works / Health experience: Previous experience in the delivery of clinical and capital works related projects (software, hardware, integration and/or infrastructure) within a healthcare setting or environment highly valued. Experience with Queensland Health systems highly valued.
