Description:

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst for a 1-year contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. This contract has a possibility of extension for up to 2 years. This position is remote for the duration of the contract. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

THE BUSINESS ANALYST MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated work experience in application development and systems integration as a Business Analyst
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience working within a financial market environment
  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience working with an external vendor providing a COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) tool. Having experience with more than one vendor would be ideal;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the competencies as defined by the BABOK (Business Analysis Book of Knowledge);
  • Demonstrated active participation in Application Support activities;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structured analysis techniques and development tools as applied to business processes, automated systems and workflow analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and recommend appropriate solutions by gathering information across various platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in production support activities as a member of a 2nd level support team
  • Support team with business processes and environment to help define the requirements as expected from the business users
  • Assist team in the coordination between the business users and scrum team members so that the vendor and our internal teams of production support activities for our financial applications
  • Support Quality Assurance efforts including unit test and production deployment
  • Help team in applying best practices of Agile methodology within the development team as required
  • Assist team to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external counterparts.
  • Provide analysis expertise in developing and deploying Business systems enhancements as requested by the user community;
  • Ongoing activities and deliverable, as required
