POSITION SUMMARY:

The School of Social Work in the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2024-25 academic year and the state-support Summer 2024 term. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Masters of Social Work degree. For some courses, an exception may be made for someone who possess a degree in a related/relevant field. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of two years post-MSW degree social work professional experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A PhD is preferred. Experience teaching is a plus. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.

Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
