POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Art and Art History in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2024-25 academic year. We are primarily looking for instructors to teach in-person courses. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a degree in a relevant field (preferably a terminal degree).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A terminal degree in a relevant field. Relevant experience, such as: previous teaching experience, especially with diverse groups of students; professional credentials, experience, and licenses; additional relevant abilities and specializations. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.

Lecturers will teach one or more sections of courses for which the Department Personnel Committee deems them qualified. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
