As part of a small but dynamic team of developers, the applicant will work on a variety of software systems and have the opportunity to interface with a broad spectrum of areas at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. This is a fast-paced team who focuses on the customer while delivering quality, “in-house” software applications to resolve a variety of data-acquisition, facility surveillance, asset-management, basic inventory, and other software requirements.
Due to a broad customer base, the applicant has the opportunity to learn of many areas of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories including specialized facilities, infrastructure facilities, waste management, radiation protection/ control and science and technology related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in customer meetings to determine requirements.
  • Attending weekly development team meetings to discuss issues, progress, roadblocks, and planning.
  • Delivering software solutions in support of the new and legacy software.
  • Using the Software Change management system (MKS) to process change requests and store software.
  • Assisting in software update production whether that is coding changes, testing, validating, and/or assisting in software/system upgrades.
  • Working as part of a team to deliver excellent computer software services to the wider CNL community.
