Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Consulting Services, the Health & Safety Consultant, Machine & Robotics Safety (MRS) role is responsible for providing general as well as machine safety focused health & safety services and solutions to customers. The Health & Safety Consultant (MRS) works within a team to ensure annual goals and objectives associated with the WSPS Strategy are accomplished. The core accountability for the Health & Safety Consultant (MRS) is ensuring high quality services are provided to customers, on time and within budget, resulting in high customer satisfaction.

1. DELIVER SOLUTIONS TO CUSTOMERS/CONDUCT BILLABLE SERVICES TO CUSTOMERS (60%)

  • Conducts legislative gap analyses, risk assessments, machine safety assessments audits, evaluating lock-out programs, and recommends solutions
  • Implements health and safety solutions based on customer business needs and existing organizational processes and structure
  • Provides on-site and public training and facilitation services to customers to increase workplace health and safety awareness, using established WSPS training standards and materials
  • Collaborates with Senior Consultants, Account Managers (AM) & Senior Account Managers (SAM) to ensure projects are effectively executed, meeting identified customer needs and ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Accountable for the delivery of solutions to customers maintaining quality standards, project timelines and budget
  • Promotes the benefits of implementing health and safety initiatives while working at customer sites, actively looking for opportunities to expand the service offering to the customer.
  • Communicates the identified opportunities to AM/SAM for follow-up with the customer
  • Proactively responds to customer information requests promptly and accurately, acting as a resource or gateway for information and service
  • Internally acts a Subject Matter Expert (SME) as assigned to projects or teams

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Business level auto insurance coverage
  • Access to a vehicle that meets minimum MTO safety standards
  • Maintains a home office in a safe manner
  • WSPS offers flexible work arrangements. Candidates are required to reside in the province of Ontario or the National Capital Region, maintain a private and safe workspace and have a high-quality internet connection.
