Description:

National Glass Townsville have an opening for an experienced 2IC to join the team on day shift.
As a 2IC you will be trained in all aspects of our Factory operations to provide support to multiple teams across National Glass. Your role will include time management, providing direction on day shift, and leading high-quality standards. You will be challenged daily with multiple tasks on the go, whilst continuously communicating and problem solving with your team. This is a great opportunity to be hands on, safety focused, and team orientated, whilst having the opportunity to use new technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction on day shift, allowing team members to produce high quality products on time in full to meet customer requirements.
  • Leading high quality standards, and cost-effective operations, safe work practices and sound working relations.
  • Taking overall control of shift when required.
  • Prioritise safety in all aspects of production operations.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Monitor inventory.
  • Training production personnel.
  • Understand and implement quality control standards and conditions, in line with quality procedures
