EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

This position requires hand-eye coordination, dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands. This includes:

  • Working mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
  • Interpreting 2D Diagrams and batch paperwork to ensure accurate assembly of clinical supplies.
  • Can meet physical requirements stated above with little or no exceptions or assistance.
  • Work independently, or as a part of a team, in the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Take initiative, follow through on commitments, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Comfortable accepting and learning from feedback, especially related to Corrective or Preventative Actions.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

This role will work in a regulated packaging environment with a team of people to perform in-process inspections. Duties are performed in Primary, Secondary, Refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and Frozen (-20° C) Packaging areas.
The individual must possess computer skills, good time management, and communicate to team members and cross-functional groups (in English).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates and promotes Thermo Fisher’s 4I Values of Integrity Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility.
  • Follows all safety regulations and conducts all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Performs manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products while ensuring adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.
  • Acts as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections and other tasks.
  • Performs computer-related tasks to perform duties.
  • Participates in start up and closure of packaging jobs.
  • Participates in cleaning of production areas.
  • Participates as an active member of Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
  • Other duties, including overtime, may be assigned to meet business needs.

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS FOR ROLE:

Task Competency Assessments (TCA) are a requirement this position. These assessments demonstrate skill in specific process tasks that will be performed independently.
