Description:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The main purpose of this position is to identify applicable security controls relating to legislation, policy and best practice; report on the status thereof as well as facilitate and monitor the remediation of non-compliance to ensure an appropriate South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Group security posture.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Plan and prioritise work in conjunction with the team lead and other stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for conducting ongoing research into legislative and best practice requirements as well as review risk and threat information to identify applicable control areas to be incorporated into the security compliance universe.
  • Take responsibility for defining and conducting the measurement of applicable security control areas to compile a SARB Group compliance status.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the SARB Group at different levels of seniority, displaying the ability to solicit information as well as convey and explain information fluently.
  • Work with the threat analyst to ensure corrective actions are taken where controls are inadequate to improve the compliance status of the SARB Group.
  • Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert for the second and third line of defence corporate governance functions on security.
  • Provide periodic reporting on the status of the security compliance universe of the SARB Group.
