Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Operations the successful candidate will be passionate about AI, eager to apply knowledge in a real-world context, and keen to make a positive impact. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to drive innovation and efficiency in our projects. Your contribution will not only aid in our mission of building the world’s leading environmental workforce but also provide you with hands-on experience in the practical application of AI within a dynamic business setting. While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, preferably in a field related to Computer Science, AI, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in AI tools and technologies.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations in the use of AI.
  • Proficiency in research, data evaluation, and interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Experience using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as general computer skills including file management and data entry.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in French is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Well-developed, independent work ethic along with the ability to communicate with the team and external parties.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:

As ECO Canada’s AI Integration Analyst (Intern), your job responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with team members to understand business needs and apply AI solutions accordingly.
  • Assisting in the implementation and management of AI tools within our business processes.
  • Research of emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability in business settings.
  • Developing and testing AI prompts for efficiency and accuracy in data handling and analysis.
  • Contributing to the development of ethical guidelines for AI use in our operations.
  • Writing basic code for AI tool customization and integration.
  • Preparing reports and presentations on AI project progress and insights.
