Our client is seeking an Engagement Officer to join their Customer Experience and Engagement Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive, inspire, and implement innovative social media campaigns that effectively communicate key messages to digital audiences. The successful candidate will have the chance to create compelling content, manage social media calendars, explore new channels, and support paid campaigns. This is a 2 year contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an Engagement Officer specialising in Digital Content and Social Media, you will be at the heart of our client’s Customer Experience and Engagement Team. Your role will involve driving innovative social media campaigns, creating engaging content, managing various social media channels, exploring new avenues for communication, supporting paid campaigns, generating insightful reports, and fostering strong internal relationships. You will play a crucial role in shaping the digital presence of the program while ensuring its key messages reach a wide audience.

  • Drive, inspire and implement creative social media campaigns that bring the program’s key messages to digital and other audiences.
  • Maintain key internal relationships as part of the Customer Experience and Engagement team and provide strategic digital advertising and marketing advice.
  • Suggest, write and edit compelling content including copy, photos and reels that promotes the work of the program on social media and other channels.
  • Manage the program’s weekly social media calendar and social media channels, including nurturing and building audiences on these platforms.
  • Work within a team to moderate community interactions on social media channels.
  • Explore new channels and stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends to continuously improve how we communicate and engage our stakeholders.
  • Support the program’s paid campaigns and help to manage a vital relationship with the key Queensland Government advertising agency to ensure campaigns are effective, run on time, and stay within budget.
  • Generate reports on media/social media/digital coverage of specific issues or business areas as requested, sharing insights with your communication and engagement colleagues.
