    Our team
    An opportunity has arisen for a driven tax professional to join the finance team as a tax and accounting manager. This is a key role to ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly reporting of tax calculations and risks to the Sanofi Group, as well as ensuring that all tax compliance obligations are met and supporting the preparation of IFRS and statutory financial reporting.

Main responsibilities

  • Implement and ensure alignment with SBS tax core model.
  • Deliver quarterly tax figures for inclusion in the different IFRS group reporting.
  • Support for current tax and tax cash flow planning.
  • Ensure SOX and Internal Control Framework compliance across activities.
  • Support tax audits by working closely with the Head of Account to Report and the Head of Tax.
  • Manage non-resident withholding tax obligations.
  • Prepare accurate and punctual tax computations for ICT return.
  • Initiate and process direct tax payments.
  • Liaise with the shared service center to ensure VAT and Intrastat reporting are accurate and timely delivered as well as VAT exemption letters are properly managed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery and submission of indirect tax returns such as quarterly and annual VAT, Withholding Tax.
  • Handle transfer pricing (“TP”) matters in close collaboration with the Head of Tax and the central TP team, such as preparing TP documentation and applying TP policies to intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare CBCR (country by country reporting) reconciliations.
  • Provide support and analysis for preparation of IFRS and statutory financial reporting.
  • Other adhoc assistance to the Head of Tax where required.

About you

  • At least 5 years working experience in taxation.
  • Proven knowledge of Italian VAT and Tax legislation.
  • Understanding of IFRS (in particular IAS 12).
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Excellent Excel skills (VLookups, pivot tables etc).
  • Proactive and agile mindset.
  • Team player.
  • Organization and handling of high-pressure deadlines.
