ABA TUTOR: EARLY CHILDHOOD

Leominster Public Schools is seeking an ABA Tutor for our substantially-separate ABA-based classroom. The candidate should be quick learner, team player, and effective communicator. We are searching for individuals who have a passion for special education and can connect with students and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four Year Degree preferred.
  • Have ability to relate to and work with disabled children.
  • Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
  • Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
  • Previous experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the Tutor Shall:

  • Assist the students with all instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.
  • Collect Data , Use Student Program Books, Share updates with staff.
  • Assist the students with the preparation of all materials and books.
  • Assist the teacher in related clerical work.
  • Use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job functions and support remote learning.
  • Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and effective work ethic.
  • Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings.
  • Display ethical behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school.
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
