    Designed by Rémi Tessier and featuring artworks by Damien Hirst, abc kitchens at The Emory brings chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s acclaimed abc brand to the UK for the very first time. Vibrant, approachable and contemporary, the restaurant’s glass facade promises views of Hyde Park and Kensington, while the menu brings together delicious elements from a trio of Jean-Georges’ New York locations — abc kitchen, abcV and abc cocina.
    The Maybourne is proud to introduce a new architectural landmark to London. The final project designed by the late Lord Richard Rogers, The Emory will be an exclusive, world-class hub of art and culture which marks the addition of a modern masterpiece to the group’s global luxury estate. Situated on Knightsbridge and overlooking Hyde Park, The Emory will present 60 extraordinary suites set over 8 floors and a spectacular penthouse occupying the entire 9th floor.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Host/ess you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests in a warm friendly manner to ensure that The Emory LQA and Forbes standards of service are maintained at all times. You will be the very first impression of our department and set the tone for the entire experience, and you will work with the direction of the Restaurant General Manager/Deputy Restaurant Manager to ensure that reservations and seatings are maximised for both overall covers and guest experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conduct bookings reports, two and three days in advance of arrival, reviewing preferences and guest profiles and ensuring information is fully communicated.
  • Review all bookings for the day and the week ahead ensuring requests are met in advance where possible. As well as managing all the books in a profitable and efficient way, this include turning tables, sitting guests and managing waiting lists live on a day to day base with the help of the Hostess team.
  • Ensure any Food & Beverage pre-arrival requests are followed through and in place for the guest arrival.
  • Ensure a comprehensive guest history, including for VIP guests, is recorded and maintained, with the relevant information in the profile following Maybourne and Emory standards.
  • Follow abc kitchens and The Emory standards of service and delivery, maintaining budget goals, LQA and Forbes standards.
