What You Will Be Doing
Peninsula Health is offering a cadetship program that is open to Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health students in their final year/s of study who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander’s and who are enrolled in a course of study that will lead to a certified qualification. The Cadetship program is supported by the Department of Health.
As a successful applicant you will work as part of the health team under the supervision of a health practitioner relevant to your discipline, for 40 shifts across the year. In the hospital setting, the role can include assisting with patients’ activities of daily living, providing wellbeing support through communication, helping maintain a safe and clean environment, and supporting clinical procedures.

What You Need

We anticipate you will:

  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.
  • Be currently enrolled in a course of study that will lead to a certified degree in Nursing, Midwifery or Allied Health.
  • Have the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Are located in Victoria or a cross-border community
