Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Ensure consistency and stabilization of key business functions across all 16+ academic programs for which the Academic Programs department at Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE) is responsible. Oversee common business practices across all programs and lead the day-to-day operations for the Academic Program department’s portfolio of 16+ academic programs, which serve more than 8000 students. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty, staff, and students. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, staff, and students. This position will supervise: Assigned staff.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Three to five years job-related experience building long-term relationships with educational agencies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of academic as well as administrative operations
  • 5 years advising experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
