Description:

OVERVIEW

The Account Director is responsible for the leadership and overall direction of assigned account(s), forging strong partnerships with our clients and coaching the account team to ensure best-in-class executions. The Account Director is an inspiring and strategic leader, passionate about building meaningful experiences, with strong managerial skills.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Function as the lead client contact and responsible for account health, overall project delivery and client satisfaction
  • Drive the achievement of the client’s marketing and sales objectives through a collaborative and profitable relationship
  • Lead strategic planning and brainstorms for the account, supported by the other agency departments
  • Actively develop and grow account by participating in client pitches, pursuing growth opportunities and presenting new ideas.
  • Build a solid and lasting relationship with clients through colloboration and partnership that is based on trust and industry expertise.
  • Work with the finance team and the Senior Client Partners to optimize financial performance.
  • Keep clients informed on billing status and budget utilization
  • Functions as the gatekeeper and champion for the client’s and their brands’ needs, wants, and preferences for the internal teams
  • Create proposals and SOWs for more complex projects and annual plans
  • Responsible for financial set up of the account and all projects in internal financial systems

Project Planning and Scoping:

  • Deliver accurate and detailed proposals, statements of work and annual budgets
  • Plan large scale projects in order to accomplish the goals within constraints; overseeing that all scheduled tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources are being met
  • Lead account quarterly and annual planning

Project Direction, Consultation and Guidance:

  • Leads overall account success including strategy and project execution
  • Ensures high quality work output from account team
  • Responsible for the financial health of the account
  • Enforces BAM procedures and processes are used

Team Management:

  • Act as an account team lead particularly for Account Supervisors but also Digital Producers and Interns, coach and mentor them in various tasks.
  • Be responsible for the performance management of his/her team members, conducting performance evaluations of all direct reports
  • Ensure completion of timesheets, approve team vacations, absence requests and expense reports
