Job Description
As our Account Director, you’ll be responsible for the leadership and development of our government vertical at both Federal and State levels in line with our strategy, vision and values. You’ll use your strong experience and ties to the Australian Government community, along with your deep understanding of the buying cycles, intra-Government relationships and a solid network of clients and partners to position yourself to win deals now, and in the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert on all things Public Sector including providing strategic advice, supporting the broader team in government relations and proactively planning for RFP and tenders
  • Grow, manage and retain Government sales revenue; responsible for new sales and retention, covering specifically the state and local government sector in ACT and NSW
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle
  • Build and deepen executive relationships with government clients to help us grow.
  • Influence long-term strategic direction and serve as a business partner
  • Negotiate and manage complex agreements via the entire cycles, presenting to C-level executives in corporate and global customers
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy, and competitive landscape

Qualifications

Experience working within Australia’s ICT industry

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong selling skills with the ability to convert leads to sales and close deals
  • Exceptional networking skills and the ability to build a solid contact base
  • Strong desire to succeed with passion and energy with the ability to negotiate, consult and deliver quality service
  • Ability to work with and present to C-level executives
  • Australian Citizenship required for Security Clearances. NV1 desired or the preparedness to obtain that level of clearance
