We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic Account Executive to join our dynamic and fast-growing team.
The Account Executive will provide support to clients across a variety of sectors including health, technology, renewable energy & industry, and financial services.
As an Account Executive you are responsible for conducting research into high-profile policy areas, monitoring political developments and producing briefing notes to help shape public affairs + communications strategies. Further responsibilities include producing action notes from meetings, drafting letters to Oireachtas members and Ministers, developing content for a range of channels and supporting the senior team by researching new clients, and helping to pitch for new business.
The successful candidate will join our award-winning, market-leading, public affairs practice, working with some of the world’s biggest brands on Irish political and regulatory issues.
Our consultants work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, and are equally at home in the office, at a pitch or at a networking event. We also enjoy being an extension of our clients’ in-house teams and pride ourselves in having extremely strong relationships with our clients.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior PR or public affairs experience is desirable e.g. an internship in-house or with a consultancy, or time in a the office of an Oireachtas member, MEP or equivalent but will consider applications from ambitious candidates without prior agency experience as well.
  • An understanding of Irish policy, the parliamentary system and workings of Leinster House
  • Passion for politics and an understanding of the potential impact on businesses
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and strong organisational skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor print, online, broadcast coverage and Oireachtas business, maintain an up-to-date press cutting file and compile press cutting reports for clients
  • Conduct value-add research and produce high quality draft intelligence reports
  • Organise logistics for parliamentary and stakeholder events
  • Draft client meeting agendas and effective action notes from internal account meetings and new business meetings, together with efficient maintenance of new business databases
  • Maintain relevant records of target stakeholder and audience groups relevant to clients and sectors
  • Carry out research and draft intelligence reports for clients or to support new business + draft presentation materials for new business credentials and pitches, contributing towards new business pitches
  • Compile press lists of target journalists for specific news stories and events
  • Organise logistics for press conferences, media and stakeholder events (e.g. room bookings, guest lists, invitations, speaker briefing notes, and catering)
  • Draft press releases, media materials and agendas for client meetings
  • Attend internal account meetings and draft action notes
  • Contribute towards marketing activity to promote Hanover Dublin
