Job Description

JOIN LGC DIAGNOSTICS & GENOMICS AND MAKE AN IMPACT IN STRATEGIC SALES

Are you an experienced professional with a passion for life sciences who excels in consultative sales? LGC Diagnostics & Genomics is seeking an Account Manager with a consistent record to be responsible for key accounts in the DACH region. This is a remote-based position (the candidate must be based in Germany) with around 60% travel, where you will have the chance to drive innovation and achieve success across Germany and Switzerland.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a biological or life sciences wet-lab or business development role, with a preferred emphasis on molecular and cell biology and related applications.
  • Experience in a sales role, particularly in the B2B sector, with a proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, enabling you to build rapport and influence decision-makers effectively. German language skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

As the primary relationship manager for your accounts, you will be responsible for revenue generation and identifying emerging opportunities. In this role, you will:

  • Understand customers’ business needs and recommend solutions from our portfolio, addressing scientific, automation, and business challenges in a consultative manner.
  • Network across all organizational levels, from C-level executives to lab technicians, facilitating brainstorming sessions, developing proposals, and negotiating deals.
  • Lead a sales process that emphasizes problem-solving, making use of available resources throughout the entire cycle to nurture positive relationships with key clients and exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify potential business prospects and actively contribute to sales growth, achieving and surpassing set targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and successfully implement tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and optimize sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to important decision-makers.
