MKTG Sports + Entertainment is an entity of global sports powerhouse dentsu Sports International with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
Working with both brands and sporting entities across sponsorship consulting and activations, events and experiences and commercial rights, MKTG is well integrated across the Australian sporting industry.
The agency works with many of the country’s most powerful brands, including Mondelez, Jaguar Land Rover, Cadbury, DoorDash, and Great Southern Bank and many more!
What your typical day will look like:
The Account Manager will be a part of MKTG’s Events & Partnerships team. You will work directly with the Client Director and wider team in supporting the planning, strategic direction and delivery of events and experiences for our partners that fuels successful marketing outcomes.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Client pitches - support pitches and project development in seeing the project all the way through to delivery as well as post campaign reporting
  • Client Management – building relationships, inputting in regular client communication and WIP’s to provide insights and strategic solutions for our clients
  • Finance – supporting the team in forecasting, budget management and leading the budget reconciliation processes
  • Project Management – you will be a central go-to person on all your projects, managing creative, design and production teams, delegating to internal staff and ensuring everything is delivered on time and within budget
  • Supporting on all new business opportunities in tandem with communicating with dentsu network agencies to identify exciting opportunities for clients
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and (where appropriate) local markets across Dentsu to meet client service needs
  • Coordinates activity ensuring projects and plans deliver against objectives and on time/budget
  • Supports Client Manager and wider team with general client liaison and administration
  • Connects with client to support delivery of communication and service.
  • May research new market trends to incorporate into planning.
  • Monitors sales data to measure plan effectiveness flagging issues where appropriate

A bit about you:

  • Ideally 2-4 years’ experience Agency or Brand in Events, Production, Creative, Experiential Marketing, Sport and Entertainment
  • Strong project management, planning, creative, pitching, presentation design, and client management capabilities
  • Superior skills in speaking with and presenting to key stakeholders and clients
  • Exposure to experiential events and activations, in stadium pop-ups, virtual events is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • A strong understanding and/or interest in sport, entertainment media, strategy, account management, marketing landscapes, and the way channels work together
