Job Description
The Account Manager holds the responsibility for overseeing a diverse customer portfolio spanning the globe. Primarily, they manage pivotal accounts, nurturing enduring connections while optimizing sales prospects within these customers.
The predominant purpose of this role is to expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives and acting as a strategic partner to their business.
Additionally, the position entails elements of Business Development, involving the identification of key customers and new opportunities, as well as offering comprehensive analytical and business forecasting assistance.
Reporting to the Manager Partner Sales, the incumbent collaborates closely with fellow team members within the Sales Team, ensuring cohesive operations and collective success.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries, requests, and escalations
- Develop account plans and strategies to achieve client objectives and maximize business opportunities. Identify client needs and propose appropriate solutions or services
- Effectively communicate customer requirements to internal teams such as sales, marketing, and product development. Coordinate efforts to meet expectations and deadlines
- Address customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively. Work with internal teams to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services to existing customers. Collaborate with the sales team to expand account revenue and meet sales targets.
- Manage customer contracts, including negotiations, renewals, and amendments
- Gather customer feedback and insights to improve products, services, and processes. Prepare regular reports on account status, activity, and performance.
Qualifications
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A minimum of 3 years of solid experience managing commercial relationships with both international and domestic Telecoms operators
- Demonstrated success in a sales environment, with strong commercial acumen and negotiation experience.
- Extensive experience within the international wholesale telecommunications market, particularly in the Pacific telecommunications sector, covering diverse areas such as Enterprise, OTT, Calling card, Mobile, Fixed line, and cable
- Previous voice trading experience in the Pacific with existing tier one relationships.
- Experience trading Pacific voice traffic through swap deals and commercial discussions.
- Carrier relationship management experience
- Well-developed relationship building and management skills, and strong presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and numeric skills - previous experience in trading, business analysis or finance.
- Ability to present complex solutions in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to think innovatively and adapt on the go
- Highly motivated and goal oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Ability to assess business cases to maximize value
