Description:

The account manager is a mid-level management role focused on managing the existing accounts and growing the business via bringing in new customers and continue to grow from the existing customers via new applications. For this position, the candidate will be the Key Account Manager leading the service team operations in an oil refinery initially.

The role is both strategic and tactical. The person will require to ensure the day to day service commitment are met and strategically planning the growth in HPI/CPI

  • To achieve the annual revenue and margin targets for Singapore Hydrocarbon Processing Industry (HPI) and Chemical Process Industry (CPI) market, once planned and set.
  • To effectively manage key accounts under his territory and constantly reviewing and maintaining the account operating profitability.
  • To lead the sales activities to secure new business and expand the Singapore HPI and CPI market share.
  • To lead the sales and service team to maintain existing accounts in HPI and CPI and to meet the service plan and implementation of service excellence to minimize account attrition.
  • To lead and build the sales pipeline for Singapore HPI and CPI market. He will work closely with the country manager, area manager and corporate sales to develop sales and service strategy for the Singapore market.
  • To build out MTP plan for Singapore HPI, CPI and develop a strategy to achieve the plans and meeting the key milestones.
  • To lead and coach the service team on service excellence and implementation on key accounts.
  • To lead tender discussion and develop commercial/pricing strategy to win account and profitable margin.
  • To continue to provide service support to existing customer and trouble shooting
  • Responsible to support the field service engineer on technical trouble shooting and routine servicing which includes performing the routine servicing himself while the field service engineer is not available. Routine servicing includes water sampling and testing, reporting and maintenance and calibration of field analyzers.
  • Be on site to work with Field service engineer to implement special projects and turnaround activities.
  • Responsible to participate and lead the service team to meet all safety requirement on customer site
  • Responsible to maintain a strong customer relationship
  • Responsible to support the invoicing and collection process to minimize past due.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years of sales and service experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical customers.
  • Chemical/Environmental or equivalent engineering degree
